Words of advice from Mr Mustaine
If you ever find yourself playing in one of the most brutal live rock acts on the planet and are losing your sense of reality, then you can turn to Sir Dave Mustaine for sage words of advice.
That’s exactly what Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton did when he was rising to the top of Rawk Mountain back in the day.
Speaking to The Quiestus, the axeman explained how he interviewed MegaDave years ago, when LoG were on the cusp of hitting the big-time.
“Mr Mustaine gave me some very profound advice,” said Mark. “And that was to look out of the side window and see where you are; to take a minute, take a deep breath and soak it in, because you're never going to be at that spot again.”
Most erudite indeed.
“I would say that advice applies to anyone, no matter what you do,” Mark commented, saying “we get so caught up as people, as a society, in trying to get more; to get ahead and to get bigger; to get richer and to get more successful; to get here and go there and we forget where we are.”

Both Lamb of God and Megadeth will be returning to Donington this year, to help us celebrate 10 years of Download. It WILL get loud.
